Leadership Week for Grades 9-12
Announcing FULL Scholarships for Leadership Week. Enrollment deadline is April 8th.

Who
Taught by Classroom with a View Instructors. Open to any student currently in grades 9-12.

What
Using an experiential approach, high school students in Grades 9-12 will participate in a five day field course in Leadership. Students will learn skills, theory, and styles of leadership as well as group dynamics and apply what they've learned with a leadership practicum. Learning will be interactive, active and fun. This hands-on field course supplements an optional 1/2 credit independent study course in Leadership provided by Classroom with a View, or a parent designed course in Leadership or Life Skills. Upon completion of the Leadership Week, students will have earned 20 hours towards Leadership credit.

When
May 18-22, 2009 2-5pm Monday through Thursday; Friday 9am-5pm

Where
The course will take place at an outside location in the Wasilla/Palmer area.

Cost
$175 per student for the 5 day field course.

Optional curriculum to complete 1/2 credit of Leadership costs $100. Can be ordered prior to the course. Contact us.

Classroom with a View accepts allotment payment from homeschool programs.

Credit
There are 3 options for credit:

Option A:
Purchase full Leadership curriculum from Classroom with a View. This includes text, assignment binder with lesson plans and suggested timeline for $100. The 20 hours from the Leadership Week will apply to the 90 hours needed to complete 1/2 credit of Leadership.

Option B:
Do a parent designed course creating your own curriculum to complete the Leadership semester. The 20 hours from the Leadership Week will apply to the 90 hours needed to complete 1/2 credit of Leadership.

Option C:
The 20 hours from the Leadership Week will partially apply to a Life Skills or Elective course. This would be a parent-designed course, creating your own curriculum to complete the 1/2 credit.
